Game Overview

I picked up Tom & Jerry on Game Boy Color back when it came out in 1992, published by Hi Tech Expressions. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the system, colorful and straightforward, a familiar cartoon brought to the small screen. You didn't expect anything groundbreaking, just a decent way to pass the time with characters you knew.

You play as Jerry, sneaking through the house, avoiding Tom, and trying to gather pieces of cheese. The goal is to rescue your nephew Tuffy, who's locked away somewhere. The levels are broken into single screens where you jump on platforms, avoid obstacles, and outsmart that persistent cat. It's not an easy game; Tom shows up often, and the timing has to be just right. The action is quick, sometimes a little frantic, but it captures that chase feeling from the cartoons pretty well.
