You control either Tom or Jerry across side scrolling stages, trying to either catch the mouse or evade the cat depending on which character you pick. The main goal is to complete each stage by outsmarting your opponent, using items like mousetraps, anvils, and bowling balls that you find scattered around. The game moves at a quick pace, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when the AI gets persistent. It feels like a messy, frantic race where every small mistake can lead to a cartoonish disaster.
