Play John Madden Football '93 (Rev A) Online
You pick plays from simple but effective playbooks, hear Madden’s classic "BOOM!" on big hits, and grind through seasons with that satisfying 16-bit football feel.

Game Overview
John Madden Football '93 on SNES is where the series really started to feel like actual football—at least as much as a 16-bit console could handle. The graphics were a step up from the earlier versions, with smoother animations and slightly less blocky players. You could tell EA was figuring things out.
First thing you notice? The playbooks. They’re simple by today’s standards, but back then, picking a run or pass felt like a real decision. And the commentary—Madden’s voice clips were repetitive, sure, but hearing "BOOM!" after a big hit never got old. The season mode kept me hooked way longer than I expected, even if the AI wasn’t exactly genius.
It’s rough around the edges now, but back in ‘92, this was as close to Sunday football as your living room got.
