Play Johnny Bazookatone Online
You're a rockstar blasting demons with a guitar bazooka, flipping through neon hellscapes while hunting secrets in this gloriously weird '90s platformer. The floaty jumps take getting used to, but that screen-clearing sonic blast never gets old.

Johnny Bazookatone came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, published by U.S. Gold. It was one of those mid-90s platformers that leaned hard into style, with a rock and roll theme and a lot of pixelated swagger. The game fit right in with the era's taste for loud colors and unconventional heroes.
You control Johnny, a rock musician armed with a guitar that doubles as a bazooka. Your goal is to rescue your girlfriend, fighting through levels packed with enemies and environmental hazards. The gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, collecting power-ups like health and ammo, and using special attacks such as screen-clearing sonic blasts. The jumping feels a bit floaty, and some sections demand precision, but the action stays fast. It feels chaotic and flashy, like playing through a loud, slightly unhinged music video.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
