Game Overview

Remember Desert Strike? This sequel throws you back into the cockpit of the Comanche helicopter, but this time you're hunting down a revenge-obsessed warlord and a drug lord in the jungles of South America. The setup's gloriously over-the-top—Kilbaba Jr. is out for blood after his dad got taken out, and he's teamed up with some cartel psycho who's got a private army and a serious grudge.

Gameplay's the same addictive mix of blowing stuff up and careful fuel management—you'll be raining hellfire missiles on bunkers one minute, then nervously eyeing your fuel gauge as you scramble to find a landing zone. The jungle missions add some fun twists, like laying mines from speedboats or doing strafing runs with side-mounted guns. It's a little janky by today's standards, but there's something satisfying about how the explosions send tiny pixelated soldiers flying.

If you played the original, you know exactly what you're getting—just with more neon jungle and fewer sand dunes.
