Game Overview

Jungle Strike on SNES is the sequel to Desert Strike, and it cranks up the chaos even more. This time, you're up against Kilbaba Jr., who's out for revenge after his dad got taken down—and he's teamed up with a drug lord with a serious grudge and a private army. The whole thing’s set in dense South American jungles, which means you’re dodging trees, rivers, and way too many guys with guns.

You start off in a Comanche helicopter, raining down missiles and rockets on anything that moves, but you’ll also jump into boats, jeeps, and even a stealth fighter later. The controls take a second to get used to—especially when you’re trying to line up a shot while avoiding enemy fire—but once it clicks, blowing up fuel depots and taking out convoys feels ridiculously satisfying. Just don’t forget to rescue hostages, or you’ll run out of fuel mid-mission.

It’s one of those games where every level throws something new at you, whether it’s dodging SAM sites or pulling off a risky drive-by with a jeep’s side-mounted guns. The pixel art still holds up, too—explosions look great, and the jungle terrain actually feels dangerous instead of just being background scenery. If you liked the first game, this one’s even better.
