Jurassic Park 2 came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Ocean Software. It was one of those licensed games from the era that tried to do something a little different, moving away from the isometric style of the first SNES Jurassic Park game. You play as either a soldier or a raptor hunter, each with their own separate campaign, which was a neat idea at the time.

You control your character through side-scrolling levels, shooting dinosaurs with a variety of weapons like pistols, shotguns, and eventually a grenade launcher. The main goal is to reactivate the park's security systems by finding and using keycards scattered across each stage. You explore screen by screen, dealing with raptors, compys, and other dinos that come at you from all directions. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be brutal, with limited ammo and health making every encounter tense. It feels clunky by today's standards, but there's a raw, chaotic energy to blasting your way through those pixelated jungles.
