Justice League Heroes came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2006, developed by Snowblind Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. It was one of the few portable action RPGs at the time that let you control DC's heavy hitters, and it fit right in with the PSP's lineup of co-op and action titles.

You control a team of two superheroes, switching between them to punch, blast, or slam through Brainiac's robot armies and other villains. The main goal is to fight from screen to screen, clearing out enemies and occasionally solving simple environmental puzzles. Each hero has a set of upgradable powers; you collect orbs to improve your abilities and unlock new moves. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty stays manageable even when the screen gets crowded with enemies. It feels straightforward and satisfying, especially when you pull off a powerful team combo or watch Superman plow through a dozen robots at once.
