Justice League Heroes came out on the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Snowblind Studios. It was a solid attempt to bring a cooperative superhero brawler to the handheld, arriving at a time when the DS library was really starting to diversify beyond its touchscreen gimmick games.

You control a pair of heroes from the DC roster, like Batman or Superman, clearing screen after screen of enemies across various missions. The main goal is to stop Brainiac's invasion, which involves fighting through waves of robots and other villains. Key mechanics include using each hero's unique abilities, such as Wonder Woman's lasso or The Flash's super speed, and managing a team dynamic where you can swap characters or use the touchscreen to activate powerful team-up attacks. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some enemy encounters can feel repetitive on harder difficulties. It feels satisfying to unleash a well-timed combo and watch a crowd of drones explode.
