Game Overview
Justice League Heroes on DS is a fun little top-down brawler where you pick two heroes—Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, or Flash—and smash through waves of bad guys. The touchscreen handles attacks and swaps between your duo, while the top screen shows a handy map. At first, I just button-mashed, but you quickly learn to mix regular punches with each hero’s special move (Batman’s batarang feels way more satisfying than it should).
Every few minutes, you hit a checkpoint—sometimes flipping switches, sometimes just clearing the room—and the AI backup system is a nice touch. Call in Green Lantern for a quick shield or Zatanna for some magic chaos. The missions are short, which works for handheld play, though the roster feels a bit slim until you unlock the extra heroes. Stick a GBA Flash cart in the slot, and you get a bonus minigame, which is a neat throwback touch.
It’s not deep, but it’s a solid way to burn through a commute as your favorite DC heroes.
