Play Ka-50 Hokum Online
You juggle air strikes, troop drops, and pirate patrols from a floating base, switching between helicopters mid-mission—ignore the map too long and you'll return to a smoking wreck.

Ka-50 Hokum came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. It was a time when flight sims were pushing the limits of what PCs could handle, and this one focused on the Russian attack helicopter with a level of detail that felt serious, almost technical, compared to arcade-style shooters.
You pilot the Kamov Ka-50, managing weapons systems and navigation across hostile terrain. The main goal is to complete missions like destroying enemy convoys or defending friendly units, often under heavy anti-aircraft fire. Key mechanics include switching between different weapon views, managing rotor RPM and engine power manually, and coordinating with wingmen via radio commands. The pacing is deliberate; you spend a lot of time scanning the landscape for threats, planning your approach, and making careful use of limited ammunition. It feels tense and immersive, especially when you’re lining up a rocket salvo while alarms blare in the cockpit.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
