Man, Kaeon takes me back—that grainy MS-DOS screen, the satisfying clack of keyboard controls, and that weirdly hypnotic chiptune soundtrack. At first glance it looks like just another pixelated platformer, but there's something about the way your little character moves—janky but precise, like an old arcade cabinet that's seen too many quarters.
You start off in this maze-like level with enemies that seem dumb until they corner you in just the wrong spot. I remember thinking "oh this is easy" right before faceplanting into a spike trap. The controls take a minute to get used to (no mouse here, pure keyboard warrior stuff), but once it clicks, you're hopping between platforms and baiting enemies into their own traps like some retro gaming mastermind.
It's got that perfect balance of "I'll just try one more level" and "why is this jump so impossible?!" energy. If you've got DOSBox installed and miss when games were more about tight gameplay than flashy cutscenes, give it a shot. Just don't blame me when you lose track of an afternoon.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
