Kid Icarus - Angel Land Story is an NES action-platformer where you play as Pit, a winged hero trying to reclaim Angel Land from Medusa. The first thing you notice is how punishing the vertical climbs can be—one wrong jump and you're falling through empty space, back to the start. The controls feel stiff at first, but you get used to them.

There’s something oddly satisfying about collecting hearts to upgrade your bow, even if the dungeon layouts can be confusing. The music sticks with you, especially that underworld theme. Some of the enemy placements feel unfair, like those eggplant wizards that turn you into a walking vegetable.
