King's Quest V on the Amiga is one of those classic point-and-click adventures that feels like stepping into a fairy tale—if fairy tales had frustratingly obscure puzzles and the occasional instant death. You play as King Graham, wandering through forests, castles, and deserts, trying to rescue your family from an evil wizard. The pixel art still holds up, especially the way light filters through trees or the goofy animations when you mess up (and you will).

Disk 6 is where things get really weird—you’ll be dodging yetis, bargaining with gnomes, and probably getting stuck at least once because you forgot to pick up some random item three screens back. The Amiga version’s soundtrack is surprisingly lush, though, and the voice acting… well, let’s just say it’s charming in a "recorded in someone’s basement" kind of way. If you’ve got the patience for old-school adventure logic, it’s a nostalgia trip worth taking.
