Klustar came out in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, developed by Rebellion. It was part of that wave of puzzle games that tried to do something a little different on the handheld, moving beyond simple line clearing into more spatial territory.
You control a cluster of blocks in the center of the screen, rotating it to catch falling pieces. The goal is to form solid squares of a single color; completing one makes it vanish, often triggering a chain reaction. The real challenge is managing the constant influx of new pieces while your cluster grows and becomes harder to maneuver. It starts calmly but builds into a tense race against the inevitable pile-up. The feeling is one of frantic, geometric problem-solving, where a single good move can save you from disaster.
