Game Overview

Krazy Racers came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Sega and published by THQ. It was one of those early GBA titles that really showed off what the system could do with bright colors and smooth scrolling. At a time when portable gaming was still mostly black and green, this one stood out with its personality and speed.

You pick from a cast of Sega characters, like Sonic or Ulala, and race them across inventive tracks filled with jumps, hazards, and shortcuts. The main goal is straightforward: finish first. You collect power-ups along the way, things like speed boosts or homing missiles, which you can fire at opponents to slow them down or knock them off course. The tracks are compact but clever, often looping back on themselves or including alternate routes. The difficulty is fair but can get intense in later cups, especially when the AI drivers get aggressive. It feels quick and responsive, with just enough chaos to keep every race interesting from start to finish.
