Lamborghini: American Challenge came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed and published by Titus Interactive. It was one of those early racing titles that tried to capture the thrill of high-speed driving on home computers, back when 3D graphics were still a novelty and most games ran from a command prompt.
You control a Lamborghini sports car, competing in illegal street races across various American locations. The main objective is to win races, earn money, and upgrade your vehicle to take on faster opponents. Signature mechanics include dodging traffic on busy highways, managing tight turns on wet roads, and investing prize money into engine and handling improvements. The pacing is intense, with no mid-race saves, forcing you to complete long event chains in one sitting. It feels like a tense, high-stakes grind where every mistake costs you dearly.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
