LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes came out on the Nintendo DS in 2012, developed by Traveller's Tales. The main goal is to stop the Joker and Lex Luthor from taking over the city, which involves a lot of smashing objects for studs, building new devices out of the pieces, and navigating screen by screen through levels and the overworld. The combat is simple but satisfying, mostly just button mashing through thugs, and the puzzle solving leans on character swapping to progress. It moves at a steady pace, never too hard but engaging enough to keep you tapping and exploring. It feels like a condensed, portable version of the console experience, packed with that familiar LEGO humor and destruction.
