Flying as Superman still rules, even if the city’s tiny—just don’t ask why those Minikits are hidden behind random trash cans.
Game Overview
LEGO Batman 2 on DS is basically the same great story as the console version—Batman and Robin teaming up with the Justice League to stop Joker and Lex Luthor—just squeezed into your pocket. You’ll still smash everything for studs, solve little puzzles with different heroes’ abilities, and unlock a ton of characters (Green Lantern’s constructs are weirdly satisfying to spam).
The touch screen handles character switching, which is handy when you realize Robin’s gadget suddenly solves that one annoying puzzle. The open-world Gotham feels smaller, obviously, but cruising around as Superman never gets old. And yeah, you’ll still obsessively hunt those Minikits, even though half of them are hidden in places that make zero sense.
It’s got that classic LEGO game charm where everything’s just fun to break apart, and the Justice League cameos keep things from feeling repetitive. The DS version holds up surprisingly well if you don’t mind the simpler graphics.
