Play Lost Dutchman Mine Online
You scrape by in Goldfield—panning rivers, gambling your last dollar, then getting jumped by outlaws when you finally hit a lucky streak. That mine’s always just out of reach, but you’ll swear you’ll find it next time.

Lost Dutchman Mine came out in 1989 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Magnetic Images. It was one of those early PC titles that tried to capture the feel of exploration and risk, fitting right in with the text-heavy, choice-driven adventures of the time. You play a prospector scraping together a living in the Arizona desert, always chasing rumors of the fabled lost mine.
You control your character from a first-person perspective, moving screen by screen through desert and mountain terrain. Your main goal is to gather enough supplies and money to mount a serious search for the mine, which means panning for gold in rivers, gambling in saloons, and trading with locals. Along the way, you have to manage your health and resources carefully; bandits and harsh conditions can wipe out your progress quickly. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty comes from balancing risk and reward with every decision. It feels like a constant, gritty struggle against the odds, where every small victory matters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
