Game Overview
Mad Mix 2 is this weird little DOS action game where you're basically a dude (or dudette, I guess) running around a haunted castle full of ghosts. It's got that classic ZX Spectrum/Amstrad vibe—simple but kinda charming in a pixelated way. You jump over traps, dodge floating specters, and try not to get wrecked by the castle's weirdly aggressive furniture.
At first, the controls feel a little stiff—like most games from that era—but once you get used to it, there's something satisfying about timing your jumps just right. The ghosts have these predictable patterns, so after a few deaths (and there will be deaths), you start memorizing their routes. The music’s got that repetitive-but-catchy chiptune thing going on, the kind that gets stuck in your head even when you’re not playing.
It’s not some deep, groundbreaking title, but if you’re into retro games with a side of janky charm, it’s a fun way to kill half an hour. Just don’t expect modern polish.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
