Madman is one of those MS-DOS games that feels like it was coded in a caffeine-fueled haze—in the best way possible. You start off thinking, "Oh, this looks simple," and then suddenly you're frantically dodging pixelated chaos like your life depends on it. The controls are tight, but the challenge ramps up fast, and before long, you're muttering at the screen like a lunatic.
It’s got that weird, early-PC-game energy where the rules aren’t always obvious, but figuring them out is half the fun. The visuals are barebones, sure, but there’s something hypnotic about the way everything moves—like a fever dream version of an arcade game. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
