Game Overview

This NES baseball game nails the 1987 MLB season with all 26 teams—though players are just numbers on jerseys, no names. Weirdly, their stats are almost real, just slightly tweaked. You can totally guess who's who based on position and stats, but it feels like playing with mysterious baseball clones.

No full season mode, but you’ve got exhibition games, an All-Star matchup (where you handpick your dream team), and a World Series. Setting your lineup before each game is oddly satisfying—like being a manager with zero pressure.

Pitching and batting use that classic behind-the-plate view, then it switches to wider angles when the ball’s in play. It’s simple, a little janky by today’s standards, but weirdly addictive if you’re into retro sports games.
