I picked up Manhunt 2 on the PSP back in 2007, a time when the handheld was full of ambitious, gritty titles trying to push the hardware. Rockstar London developed it, and Rockstar Games published it, which made sense given its dark, stealth-heavy tone. It was one of those games that felt like it was testing the limits of what a portable system could handle, both technically and thematically.

You control Daniel Lamb, an amnesiac patient trying to uncover his past while escaping a sinister conspiracy. The main objective is to survive each area by stealthily eliminating enemies or engaging in frantic shootouts when detected. Signature mechanics include using environmental executions, which are brutal context-sensitive takedowns, and managing your sanity meter, which affects Daniel's perception and stability. The pacing is tense, often demanding patience in stealth sections before erupting into chaotic firefights. It feels raw and unsettling, like you're constantly balancing control and desperation.
