Game Overview

Marvel Super Hero Squad on DS is basically a kid-friendly brawler where you mash buttons as your favorite heroes to stop Thanos from wrecking the universe. You start off picking between Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and a few others—each has their own silly animations and over-the-top moves. The levels are short and chaotic, with tons of breakable objects and goofy one-liners from the characters.

It’s not exactly deep combat, but there’s something satisfying about watching Spider-Man web-sling into a crowd of enemies or Hulk just smashing everything in sight. The Infinity Gauntlet story keeps things moving, and the cartoony style fits the lighthearted tone. Definitely more fun if you’re a Marvel fan or just want something simple to play in short bursts.

Also, the DS version has this weird touch-screen minigame between levels that feels tacked on, but at least it tries to mix things up.
