Play Marvel Trading Card Game (E)(Supplex) Online
Build a deck with Marvel heroes and villains, battle through story mode or against friends, and strategize to reduce your opponent's endurance to zero.
Marvel Trading Card Game came out on the Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was part of that wave of DS games that tried to bring deeper, more complex genres to a handheld, fitting right in alongside other strategy and card titles from that era.
You build a deck from a huge pool of Marvel hero and villain cards, then use it to battle through a story mode or against other players. The main goal is to reduce your opponent's endurance to zero by attacking with your characters, which you summon using resource points you generate each turn. Two key mechanics are the location grid, where placing your characters in different rows affects their attack and defense capabilities, and the team affiliations, which grant bonuses when you use characters from the same comic book universe together. The pacing is deliberate, demanding careful planning over several turns, and the difficulty can be quite sharp, especially against certain boss decks. It feels like solving a puzzle with your favorite superheroes.
