You control a team of Marvel heroes and villains, building a deck from their various ability and attack cards. The main goal is to defeat your opponent by reducing their health to zero through strategic card play. Two key mechanics define the fights: the row-based positioning of your characters on the dual screens, which affects who can be targeted, and the resource system that forces you to choose which cards to sacrifice each turn to pay for others. Matches are methodical, requiring you to think several moves ahead rather than just playing your strongest card. It feels like solving a puzzle where every move your opponent makes changes the entire board.
