Game Overview
Matrix Marauders is this wild Amiga racer where you’re basically in a futuristic demolition derby. You’re not just racing—you’re dodging gaping holes in the track, blasting other cars with whatever weapons you’ve got, and scrambling for power-ups that give you a temporary edge. The first time I played, I didn’t realize how brutal the qualifying system was—if you don’t finish top three, you’re stuck replaying the same race until you do.
Between races, you can tweak your car with upgrades, which helps when the later tracks start throwing ridiculous obstacles at you. The weapons feel a little unbalanced at first (some are just way better than others), but once you figure out the rhythm of boosting, shooting, and not plummeting into a pit, it’s stupidly satisfying. Just don’t expect a gentle learning curve.
