Buck Rogers: Matrix Cubed came out in 1992 from Strategic Simulations, Inc. for MS-DOS. It was part of that wave of early 90s PC games that tried to blend science fiction with deep, tactical role-playing systems. You didn't get flashy cutscenes; you got a lot of reading and strategic planning, which was pretty standard for the time.

You control a squad of characters, moving them across grid-based maps in turn-based combat. Your main goal is to complete missions, which usually involve eliminating enemies or securing objectives.
