Remember those old arcade cabinets where you'd grip the controls and feel like you were actually flying? Buck Rogers - Planet of Zoom nails that feeling—just on your clunky MS-DOS setup. You're dumped straight into a starfighter cockpit, and suddenly everything's moving way too fast: asteroids, enemy ships, those weird floating barriers that look like they were drawn with a ruler. Miss one turn, and boom, you're space dust.

The graphics are all sharp angles and neon wireframes (which, honestly, still kinda slap), and the speed actually holds up—your ship zips through canyons like it's late for dinner. At first, you'll crash into everything. Then you get the rhythm: dodge left, blast three TIE Fighter wannabes, swerve right before the canyon wall shaves your wings off. Rinse, repeat, try not to scream when a surprise squadron drops in.

It's simple, punishing, and weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a perfect run. Just don't blame me when you realize you've been hunched over the keyboard for an hour, muttering "one more try."

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
