Treasure Planet on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2002 from BAM! Entertainment, a time when licensed games were everywhere and you never quite knew what you were getting. It was based on the Disney film, which meant it had to try and capture that sense of spacefaring adventure on a very small screen.

You control Jim Hawkins, navigating a series of side-scrolling levels that mix platforming with combat. Your main goal is to find the legendary Treasure Planet, which involves exploring environments, fighting off robotic pirates, and solving light environmental puzzles. The jetpack is your key tool, letting you make tricky jumps and hover for a moment to line up a shot with your flintlock pistol. The game moves at a decent clip, though some sections can feel a bit repetitive, and the difficulty has those classic early 2000s spikes that demand precise timing. It feels like a straightforward, action-focused platformer that does a solid job of translating the movie's energy into something you can hold in your hands.
