Game Overview

So, The Flintstones: King Rock Treasure Island on Game Boy is exactly what it sounds like—Fred Flintstone stumbling onto a treasure map and deciding, sure, why not go hunt for it? You’ll jump across chasms, toss axes at weird angles (they don’t kill enemies outright, just stun them—which is oddly satisfying when you use them as stepping stones), and deal with respawning baddies that pop back up if you backtrack.

There’s a bit of strategy to it—some sections force you to stun enemies in a row just to climb higher, and those skull markers? Yeah, they’re basically the game’s way of saying, "You’re gonna need a makeshift staircase here, buddy." The power-ups are mostly for points or health, but the real prize is hopping on Dino for a bit. He lets you throw axes straight and jump like you’ve got springs in your feet—until some jerk hits him and he bails on you. Classic Dino.

It’s a straightforward platformer with that Flintstones charm, though the controls take a minute to get used to. The treasure better be worth it.
