Play E.T. : Escape From Planet Earth Online

You play as E.T. scrambling through suburban backyards, grabbing random trash to build a phone while dodging feds with flashlights—it's oddly tense for a game about a cute alien.

Game Overview

Ever tried being a lost alien with a serious phone-home problem? E.T.: Escape From Planet Earth on the Game Boy Color nails that vibe—you’re basically the little guy in the red hoodie, sneaking through backyards and dodging flashlight-wielding feds. The first thing you’ll do? Scramble for random junk like batteries and tin cans because, apparently, intergalactic phones run on Earth’s finest trash.

It’s got that classic GBC look—chunky pixels, weirdly soothing beeps—and the controls are simple enough that you won’t rage-quit when E.T. gets stuck behind a bush for the third time. Not gonna lie, some parts feel a little janky (hello, 1990s game design), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about outrunning agents while that iconic theme plays in your head. Perfect for when you’re feeling nostalgic or just want to yell “Ouch!” every time E.T. faceplants.
