Maus, Die is exactly that—a weirdly charming little Game Boy Color puzzler where you dodge mousetraps, outsmart cats, and squeeze through tiny gaps like the world's most determined rodent. The first few levels trick you into thinking it's cute and easy, but then suddenly you're staring at a screen full of spinning gears and wondering how you're supposed to survive this.
What I love is how it feels like a Saturday morning cartoon—bright colors, silly animations, and this constant "oh no, now what?" energy. The controls are simple (left, right, jump), but some of the later puzzles make you stop and actually think. Also, the cheese physics are weirdly satisfying when you finally grab a piece after five failed attempts. If you've got a soft spot for forgotten GBC games, this one's a surprisingly good time.
