MDK came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Playmates Interactive. It was a strange, ambitious title for its time, standing out among other PC shooters with its bizarre art style and dark humor. The game didn't try to be realistic; it embraced a kind of comic book weirdness that felt fresh, even when hardware limitations were obvious.

You play as Kurt Hectic, a janitor outfitted with a ridiculous, multi purpose parachute suit and a helmet mounted sniper rifle. Your goal is to stop an alien invasion by infiltrating a massive, biomechanical ship, room by room. The gameplay mixes tight corridor shooting with wide open areas where you glide between platforms, picking off enemies from a distance. The sniper scope allows for precision shots, often requiring you to slow time and aim carefully at weak points. Levels are filled with traps, vertical challenges, and occasional minecart sections that break up the pace. It's a difficult game, sometimes frustratingly so, with limited health and relentless enemy attacks. Playing MDK feels like navigating a surreal, hostile cartoon where every shot matters and mistakes are punished quickly.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
