MediEvil: Resurrection came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2005, developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and published by Sony. It was a solid remake of the original PlayStation game, fitting right into the early PSP library's mix of action and adventure titles.

You control Sir Daniel Fortesque, a bumbling but determined skeletal knight, as he fights to save the kingdom of Gallowmere from the evil sorcerer Zarok. The gameplay involves exploring gothic environments screen by screen, battling monsters with swords, clubs, and ranged weapons like a crossbow. You collect Chalices by defeating enough enemies in each area, which unlock new stages and progress the story. The pacing is deliberate, with some tricky combat sections and light puzzle solving. It feels like a straightforward, slightly clunky but earnest action adventure with a lot of personality.
