So, Last Bible II is one of those old-school Game Boy RPGs that never made it out of Japan—until fans translated it, anyway. It’s part of the Megami Tensei spin-offs, but don’t expect the same vibe as Persona or Shin Megami Tensei. This one’s more of a classic dungeon crawler with turn-based battles and demon recruiting, but way simpler.

You start off in this medieval-ish world where demons are just… everywhere, and your party’s got to figure out why. The first hour’s pretty straightforward—talk to villagers, get ambushed by weird monsters, and slowly build up your team. The demon fusion system isn’t as deep as later games, but messing around with it still feels satisfying when you stumble on a strong combo.

It’s definitely rough around the edges (hello, Game Boy limitations), but there’s charm in how compact it is. If you’re into retro RPGs with a darker tone, this is a neat little time capsule.
