Game Overview

I first played Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on the PlayStation Portable back in 2010, developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. It was one of those games that really pushed what the PSP could do, with a surprisingly deep story and mechanics that felt ambitious for a handheld at the time.

You control Big Boss, building up your own private military force while completing missions across Central America. The core gameplay blends stealth, tactical espionage, and base management; you recruit soldiers by fulton extracting them from the field, develop new weapons and gear, and take on increasingly complex boss fights against massive walking tanks. The pacing is methodical, encouraging careful planning and adaptability, and it can get quite challenging, especially in later operations. It feels deeply satisfying to slowly build your resources and see your strategies pay off in tense, quiet infiltration or chaotic firefights.
