Play Meteos (J) Online
Stack and launch colored blocks by dragging them with your stylus in Meteos, a puzzle game for Nintendo DS where timing makes all the difference.
Meteos came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed by Q Entertainment. It was one of those early DS games that really made you use the touch screen in a way that felt new, not just tacked on. You'd see it alongside stuff like Feel the Magic or Polarium, games that were figuring out what the hardware could do.
You control a stylus, dragging falling blocks up and down to stack matching colors. The goal is to build vertical lines heavy enough to launch off the screen before the pile reaches the top. Each planet has its own gravity; some pull blocks down fast, others let them float, so you're constantly adjusting your timing. The Japanese version added a bunch of exclusive planets and music tracks, which made the pacing even more frantic. It feels like you're conducting chaos, trying to build order before everything collapses.
