Microman came out in 1983 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Micromania. It was one of those early PC titles that felt experimental, built for systems where every kilobyte mattered and gameplay had to carry the experience without much visual flair.
You control a small character, often just a few pixels tall, navigating a hazardous environment filled with everyday objects turned into threats. The main goal is to survive, moving screen by screen while avoiding or interacting with obstacles like rolling pencils, aggressive paperclips, and fast-moving ants. The pacing is relentless; you have to think and react quickly because mistakes are punished instantly. It feels chaotic and strangely absorbing, like trying to solve a puzzle while someone keeps shaking the table.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
