You control Max, a kid with a magical cap that lets him travel to different dangerous worlds. Your goal is to rescue your friend Virgil and stop the evil Skull Master. The game plays out across side-scrolling levels where you jump between platforms, avoid environmental hazards like spikes and lava, and battle various enemies using a simple attack. You also collect keys to open doors and gather power-ups to restore health. The pacing is fairly quick, but the difficulty can be unforgiving, demanding precise jumps and careful timing.
