The gameplay mixes side scrolling platforming with turn based combat against enemies like skeletons and bats. You move screen by screen, jumping across gaps, hitting switches, and occasionally using your doll to attack in battles that pause the action. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, and the difficulty can spike in certain areas, especially with some tricky jumps or enemy placements. It feels like a earnest, slightly clunky adventure made with a lot of heart for fans of the source material.
