Game Overview

Monopoly on the NES is exactly what you'd expect—the classic board game crammed onto a cartridge. It's got all the usual properties (hello, Parkstraße and Schlossallee), the tiny pixelated houses, and that weirdly satisfying digital money sound when you pass Go. The AI opponents are ruthless, by the way—don't be surprised when they somehow always land on your most expensive hotels.

It plays just like the tabletop version, right down to the endless negotiations and the occasional rage-quit when someone builds a hotel on Bahnhofstraße. The controls are clunky (this is an NES game), but there's something weirdly charming about watching your little token hop across 8-bit Berlin.

If you've got nostalgia for old-school Monopoly or just want to relive the pain of going bankrupt to a computer, this one’s a time capsule.
