Game Overview

Monopoly on the DS is basically the same game you know—just smaller and way more portable. You still buy up properties, slap down houses (and eventually hotels), and watch your friends go bankrupt one by one. The controls take a minute to get used to since you're using the stylus, but rolling the dice by flicking it across the screen never gets old.

There are a few themed boards to mix things up, and you can play against the AI if no one’s around. The AI isn’t exactly a genius, though—sometimes it makes baffling trades or refuses to deal at all. Still, it’s Monopoly, so the real enemy is always luck (and maybe your own poor financial decisions).

If you’ve got friends with copies, you can play wirelessly, which is great until someone rage-quits after landing on your maxed-out Boardwalk. Some things never change.
