Monster Slider is one of those puzzle games that looks simple at first—just slide colored blocks to match them—but gets surprisingly intense once the speed picks up. It’s a remake of an old Sega Saturn game, but they’ve toned down the spooky Halloween vibe and made the characters way more cartoony. Not gonna lie, I miss the endless mode from the original, but the story mode’s still fun, and the versus mode is where things get really chaotic (in a good way).

What I like is how the blocks don’t just drop—they slide and settle, so you’ve gotta think ahead or you’ll end up with a messy pile. The first few levels ease you in, but before long, you’re frantically trying to keep up. If you’ve got a friend around, the two-player battles are a blast—nothing like watching them panic when you sneak in a big combo.
