Mortal Kombat Advance (GBANow) is a stripped-down but surprisingly decent GBA port of the classic fighter. The sprites are tiny, and the animations are choppy, but you can still pull off most of the signature moves if you remember the inputs.
I spent way too long trying to land Scorpion's spear in the cramped screen space. The controls take some getting used to, especially since the GBA's d-pad isn't ideal for fighting games. Still, it's weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a fatality after fumbling through the button combos.
It's not the best way to play Mortal Kombat, but if you're stuck somewhere without a console, Mortal Kombat Advance (GBANow) gets the job done.
