Play Mortal Kombat - Tournament Edition (U)(Mode7) Online
Pick your fighter, battle opponents in one-on-one matches, master special moves and combos, and try to win the tournament in Mortal Kombat - Tournament Edition for GBA.
Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Midway. It was one of the more ambitious fighting games on the handheld, trying to bring the console experience into your pocket without losing the series' identity. The GBA library had plenty of fighters, but this one stood out for its commitment to the full roster and movesets players expected.
You pick a fighter like Scorpion or Kitana and battle through a series of opponents in one-on-one matches. The main goal is to win the tournament by defeating each enemy, often using special moves and combos you've practiced. Signature mechanics include performing fatalities by inputting specific button sequences and using a stamina bar for running and enhanced attacks. The pacing is fast, and the AI can be punishing if you don't learn the timing for blocks and counters. It feels satisfying to land a well-timed special move and hear the crunchy sound effects through the GBA speaker.
