Game Overview

Mortal Kombat on the Amiga is brutal, ridiculous, and impossible to put down. You pick from seven fighters—each with their own weird backstory—and throw them into a tournament where the stakes are literally the fate of Earth. Liu Kang’s all about the flying kicks, Sub-Zero freezes people solid, and Scorpion? Yeah, he just yanks opponents across the screen with a spear. Classic.

The fights are one-on-one, side-scrolling chaos. You’ll mash buttons trying to remember how to pull off special moves (good luck nailing that uppercut consistently), and when you finally win, you get to do a Fatality. These are the best/worst part—over-the-top finishing moves where you rip someone’s spine out or set them on fire. The digitized actors make everything look hilariously stiff, but that just adds to the charm.

It’s janky, violent, and absolutely of its time. If you’ve got an Amiga and a friend willing to lose, this is the game to play.
