Mr. Driller - Drill Spirits is one of those games that looks simple until you’re three minutes in, sweating over whether to drill left or right before the ceiling collapses on you. You play as this little guy in a diving helmet, burrowing down through layers of brightly colored blocks—some break easy, others take a few hits, and if you don’t watch your air meter, things get tense fast.
The DS version nails the arcade feel—quick rounds, just enough strategy to keep you from mindlessly digging, and that classic "one more try" pull when you barely miss your target depth. The touch screen controls are surprisingly smooth, though I still mostly stuck with the buttons out of habit. It’s got that perfect balance of chaos and control where you’ll curse yourself for tunneling into a dead end, then immediately start a new run.
