Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits is one of those games that looks simple at first—just drilling down through blocks, right? But then you realize your air supply is ticking away, and suddenly you're panicking because you took a wrong turn and now you're buried under a pile of falling debris. The DS version keeps the classic arcade feel but adds some clever touch-screen controls that actually work (unlike some other gimmicky ports).
What I love is how the colors matter—matching blocks disappear faster, but you’ve got to think ahead or you’ll get crushed. And yeah, it’s in Japanese, but the gameplay’s so intuitive you barely notice. Just don’t expect to put it down after one round.
