Remember Pac-Man? Well, in '81 they gave him a girlfriend—and honestly, Ms. Pac-Man might just be the better game. Same classic maze chase, but with way more personality. You're still dodging those four troublemakers (Blinky's still a jerk), but now there are bouncing fruits and mazes that actually change up the layout.
Those little power pellets? Still your best friend. Snag one and suddenly you're the hunter—ghosts turn blue and you get to chomp them for big points. Just don't get too cocky—the effect wears off fast, and they come back angrier than ever.
Between levels, you get these weird little cartoon cutscenes of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man flirting, getting married... it's oddly charming for an 8-bit game. The NES version keeps all that retro charm while somehow making the ghosts even sneakier than I remember.
